A Letter from the Archbishop of New York
His Excellency, the Most Reverend Timothy M. Dolan
My Dear New Friends in Christ:
With humble gratitude, I thank Pope Benedict XVI for my appointment as Archbishop of New York. To all of you throughout this magnificent archdiocese, I pledge my love, my life, and my heart.
It is with a sense of amazement and appreciation that I am beginning to learn the magnitude of the work of Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of New York. Catholic Charities demonstrates so well the love of Jesus Christ for those in need of all religions.
I look forward to visiting Catholic Charities programs in New York City and the Hudson Valley, and meeting the dedicated staff and volunteers who truly make Catholic Charities the backbone of New York. I pledge to do my part to continue and enhance the compassionate care that Catholic Charities provides each year to hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers in need.
Be assured of my prayers and my thanks for your support.
Gratefully in Christ,
Most Reverend Timothy M. Dolan,
Archbishop of New York
