Who are we?
The Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York Junior Board introduces young professionals to the varied programs and works of Catholic Charities through volunteer opportunities, social gatherings, faith-based events, and philanthropic support. The Junior Board helps cultivate the next generation of leaders committed to Catholic Charities and serving those in need in our community.

The Executive Committee: The Executive Committee includes Junior Board Co-Chairs, sub-committee Chairs and Co-Chairs, and Junior Board members who serve as group advisors. This group meets bi-annually to discuss Junior Board activity and goals.

The Four Committees: The Junior Board is comprised of four committees: the Volunteer Committee, Special Events Committee (consisting of the St. Nicholas Project, Junior Board Gala, and Social/Fundraising events), Membership Committee, and the Faith Committee. Each group meets three-four times a year to perform the mission of each committee through events and activities.  ( See Junior Board Committees page for more information)

What do we do?
In addition to volunteer projects and faith-based activities, the Junior Board completes year-round projects and initiatives that support the St. Nicholas Project. The St. Nicholas Project provides nearly 4,000 individuals and 700 families with warm clothing and household necessities each year. This year, we hope to raise $50,000 for The St. Nicholas Project through our annual Junior Board Gala, membership campaign, and other fundraising efforts.

What is expected?
Junior Board members are encouraged to make a financial membership pledge (all pledges support the St. Nicholas Project), participate in at least two volunteer opportunities (10-12 hours) throughout the year (not including St. Nicholas Project Shopping Day), attend the annual Junior Board Gala, and attend both bi-annual general meetings—one in November and one in May of each year.
