Stephanie Bagley
Junior Board Co-Chair
Stephanie has served on the Catholic Charities Junior Board for three years and was recently appointed Co-chair. She has planned events such as the annual Junior Board Gala, sports outings, and happy hours to raise money for the St. Nicholas Project. Stephanie has been involved with the Catholic Charities Junior Board since its inception. She is an editor and project manager at VaynerMedia, working with the NHL on social media, and a freelance sports reporter with ESPN the Magazine and ESPN.com.
James Harley
Junior Board Co-Chair
James Harley has been a member of the Catholic Charities Junior Board since the group’s inception in February of 2008 and is proud to serve as Co-Chair. James was born and raised in Richmond Hill, NY and attended Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY where he graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2003 and an M.S. in Civil Engineering in 2006. In addition to serving on the Junior Board, James is an Eagle Scout with the Boys Scouts of America. James is a lifelong New Yorker, and currently works at Dvirka and Bartilucci Consulting Engineers as a Water Supply Engineer.
Executive Committee Members
Mario Bruschi
Mario has served as Chair of the Faith Committee since February 2008. He is currently the Controller of McCann Erickson New York. Prior to joining McCann, he held positions at Cushman & Wakefield, CBS Radio, Universal Music and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He attended New York University Stern School of Business where he received his undergraduate degree and MBA. In addition to his work on the Junior Board, Mario is the director of the Cathedral of St. Patrick Young Adult Ministry, and co-director of Theology on Tap-NYC. He recently became a member of the Order of Malta.
Jonna DeSimone
Jonna joined the Junior Board as Co-Treasurer in May 2008, most recently assisting with volunteer efforts and the St. Nicholas Project. She is the oldest of three children and grew up in Wilton, CT. Jonna received a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Neuroscience at Lafayette College. Upon graduating, she went on to receive a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Jonna has been working as a Physician Assistant for the past 7 years and is currently employed at Hospital for Special Surgery as the Associate Director of Professional Development for the Physician Assistant Department.
Ryan Dougherty
Ryan Dougherty has served as the Co-Chair of the Membership Committee of the Catholic Charities Junior Board since 2010 and has been a member since 2009. Ryan was born in Chicago and grew up in Greensboro, NC. He graduated from University of North Carolina in 1997 and is a 2003 graduate of the Columbia Business School. He works as an estate specialist with Ameriprise Financial. Ryan is an active member of the St. Joseph’s Parish of Greenwich Village.
Sean K. Gorman
Sean Gorman has been a member of the Catholic Charities Junior Board since the group’s inception in February of 2008 and proudly served as Co-Chair until December 2011. Sean was born and raised in the Chicago area and attended the Catholic University of America in Washington DC where he graduated with a B.A. in Politics in 2003. Sean currently works at Neuberger Berman LLC as Vice President of Fixed Income Trading and resides in Connecticut with his wife Christine and their son Eamon.
Lauren Grayson
Lauren Grayson is originally from Manhattan, where she currently resides. In May of 2007, she earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia, having majored in Government (American Politics). While at the University, Ms. Grayson was a member of Brothers United Celebrating Knowledge and Success (BUCKS), the McIntire Investment Institute (investment club) and the Allure Dance Team (a University dance team). She was also a mentor and tutor at the Community Center in Charlottesville’s West Haven public housing development. Upon receiving her Bachelor of Arts, Ms. Grayson returned to New York where she began working for Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a Specialist in the Office of General Counsel; she was assigned to the Global Bank Group. Lauren joined the Junior Board Executive Committee in 2009. Ms. Grayson is also a member of the New York Chapter of the University of Virginia’s Ridley Scholarship Fund.
Bridget Morrissey
Bridget joined the Junior Board in 2008 and has since held the position as Secretary on the Executive Committee. In 2011, she was appointed as the St. Nicholas Project Committee Co-Chair along with Jonna Desimone, and took on the responsibilities in assisting with the initial organization and planning in order to make Shopping Day a success. Bridget is the Manager of Community Lending and Outreach at the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, where she provides loans to Member Banks to finance community lending and affordable housing projects, as well as economic development initiatives. Bridget is a 2003 graduate of the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and holds a B.A. in psychology and a minor in music.
Tim Spelman
Tim serves has served on the Executive Committee of Catholic Charities Junior Board since 2009. He also works with The American Ireland Fund and CUA on Wall Street. He is an Internal Wholesaler in the Advisors Solutions Group at Neuberger Berman. Tim grew up in Larchmont, NY and is a 1999 graduate of Iona Preparatory School in New Rochelle, NY and a 2003 graduate of The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. He has lived in NYC since 2004 and is a member of The New York Athletic Club.
Kevin Wells
Kevin has served as Treasurer of the Junior Board since May 2008. He is an Investment Associate at UBS Financial Services and graduated from Bates College in 2005. Kevin is from Westchester, NY and graduated from John Jay High School in 2001. He is an avid golfer and resides in Manhattan.
