Membership: Roles and Responsibilities
Junior Board General Meetings
- The Junior Board will meet three times per year: January, May, and September.
- General Meetings will convene at the New York Catholic Center, 1011 First Avenue (between 55th and 56th.)
- Attendance is encouraged at all meetings, with each member required to attend at least two General Meetings per year.
Committee Participation
- Committees meet every other month to plan events, service opportunities or faith-based programs. If additional meetings are needed individual dates and times are to be determined by Committee.
- All members are required to sit on one Committee of their choosing (see descriptives on reverse.) Sitting on a Committee does not imply your time is exclusive to that Committee. In fact, all members are strongly encouraged to participate in the wide variety of events and volunteer activities that are offered.
General
- Each Junior Board member is asked to participate in 10-12 hours of activity per year. Attendance at the meetings, volunteer opportunities, and social events will count as hours of activity.
- It is suggested that each Junior Board member give or procure a minimum donation of $150 per year. That $150 can be reached by means of a personal donation, the purchase of event tickets, or procurement of funds or goods to benefit volunteer activities or Junior Board social events and fundraisers. Personal giving is not required as payment of dues for participation in this group.
