After-school Counselors

Description:  As a counselor, you will supervise and assist children while helping them benefit from enriching activities in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. This is a perfect position for someone who enjoys working directly with clients.  

Purpose:  You will make it possible for children to access high quality activities and opportunities that might otherwise be unavailable to them.

Where:  Staten Island 

When:  weekdays, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm 

Duration of Commitment:  weekdays during the school year (September to June)

 Type of Volunteers:  individuals

Skills Needed:  ability to work with children, knowledge of age-appropriate activities

Orientation and Training:  A brief orientation and training will take place at the site.
