Guild for the Blind Teaching Assistant

Description: Assist blind instructors with paperwork (e.g. fill out forms) and preparation of materials for students.
Purpose: By improving individuals’ fluency in English, volunteers help to open a world of opportunity for people becoming fully integrated into American society
Where: Manhattan, or from your home
When:  once each week for 2 hours.
Duration of Commitment: 6-month minimum
Type of Volunteers: individuals
Skills Needed:  computer skills – Microsoft Word and Excel
Orientation and Training: A brief orientation and training will be held at the site.
