Sewing Instructor
Description: Design and then conduct sewing groups at senior centers. This position is perfect if you prefer to work directly with clients.
Purpose: Through conducting a sewing class, you will be providing clients with a venue to socialize, learn a fun hobby, and gain useful skills.
Where: Staten Island
When: 2 – 3 hours a week, weekdays
Duration of Commitment: 4- month minimum
Type of Volunteers: Individuals, small groups
Skills Needed: hand-sewing skills and knowledge of digital sewing machines helpful
Orientation / Training: A brief orientation and training will take place at the site.
