Shopper’s Assistant

Description:  Help clients to enjoy a warm and positive experience.  Welcome and guide them while shopping by finding correct sizes and colors. You may also be asked to assist staff with paperwork.  This is an ideal position for a friendly person who enjoys direct contact with clients.

Purpose:  By working with shoppers, you will make visiting and utilizing the thrift store a wonderful experience so that shoppers will return time and again.

Where:  The Bronx

When:  Daily for 2 – 3 days from Monday – Friday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm 

Duration of Commitment:  Based on volunteer availability; half days are acceptable.

Type of Volunteers: Individuals

Skills Needed: Outgoing personality, bilingual skills are helpful.

Orientation / Training:  A brief orientation and training at the site is also required.
