Volunteer Coordinator Assistant

Description:  Assist the Volunteer Coordinator in placing incoming volunteers. Answer emails and phone calls from prospective volunteers and help manage databases. This is a good position for someone who likes to work independently and enjoys working in an office setting.

Purpose:  By assisting the volunteer program staff, you will make it possible for incoming volunteers to have a rewarding service experience and for more Catholic Charities clients to experience the benefits that volunteers bring to our organization and services. 

Where:  Manhattan

When:  Two days per week (Monday - Friday), 3-4 hours shifts between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm

Duration of Commitment:  3 months – 6 months

Type of Volunteers:  individuals

Skills Needed:  Computer skills are essential (Microsoft Office). Good communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and follow-up.

Orientation/Training:  A brief orientation and training program will be held prior to starting.
