Volunteer Coordinator

Description:  Monitor volunteers, work with them as they sort, price and display clothes and other merchandise, maintain records, and set work schedules.  This position is ideal if you have leadership qualities and like to work as part of a team.

Purpose:  As their coordinator, you will lead volunteers who are the backbone of this thrift store; it couldn’t operate without them. 

Where:  The Bronx.                                                                                                                  

When:  Weekdays for 2 – 3 days, between 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.   Hours may vary based on volunteer availability. Half days are acceptable.  

Duration of Commitment:  4-month minimum

Type of Volunteers:  Individuals 

Skills Needed:  Outgoing, strong organizational skills, English / Spanish literacy helpful and previous management skills a definite plus.

Orientation/Training:  A brief orientation and training will take place at the site.
