An Archdiocesan-Wide Drive to Replenish Food Pantries
About Feeding Our Neighbors
"We need to feed the hungry in the name of Jesus, and that is a high honor and call. We need to make sure that none of our neighbors are ever turned away when they look to the church for help." - Timothy Cardinal Dolan
Feeding Our Neighbors is a united effort to fight hunger. This campaign is a response to Timothy Cardinal Dolan's call that we all do our part to replenish the food pantries and soup kitchens in our community, which so many families in our community rely on to survive. Sponsored by Catholic organizations throughout the Archdiocese of New York and managed by Catholic Charities, 100% of contributions to the campaign will support local food pantries that serve New Yorkers non-Catholic and Catholic alike.
Organizational participants in Feeding Our Neighbors include all Archdiocesan Catholic schools, local parishes, the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), the Archdiocesan Office of Religious Education, and the Catholic Charities Federation. Donations of food and contributions to the fundraising campaign can be made through of any of these organizations. Big white boxes for non-perishable food donations will be placed in local Catholic parishes from Staten Island to Manhattan, throughout the Bronx and the Hudson Valley.
There is just one goal for Feeding Our Neighbors: That New Yorkers answer the call to feed those who are suffering in our community.
