Testimonials from Our Participants

"Thank you for arranging to have our donation of 21 cases of shrimp and chicken Cup-A-Soup picked up by Catholic Charities today.  We are thrilled to be able to assist your efforts in the “Feeding our Neighbors” Program.  As I mentioned on the phone, Preston High School collected and distributed 2.5 tons of food this Thanksgiving season and we work to “Feed our Neighbors” year-round.  We hold a weekly collection of money during lunch periods.  We try to instill in our students that hunger is a year-round crisis and that people need to be cared for more than just around the holidays.  We earmarked the collection of January 20th for Catholic Charities and our students donated $60 which I am sending to you for distribution."

"This was a great campaign.  Our food pantry is full to the top and we will not have to spend any money on food this month.  This represents a savings of over $3,000.  I am so grateful and in gratitude for everyone's help and efforts."

- Martha Robles, Executive Director, Catholic Community Services of Rockland

"Saint Peter's Parish, Kingston, participates in the local Catholic Charities food pantry. Every week, we take a load to the pantry; this week it is an extraordinary load!"

-Father Marc Oliver, Saint Peter's Parish, Kingston

"All boxes and bags of donated food items were successfully moved to the Holy Rosary food pantry with Father Richard, two faithful and very hard working Holy Rosary [in Port Chester] parishoners, a beat up, open bed pick up truck loaded to the hilt (twice!) and my SUV.  On the receiving end, Deacon Billy Vacaro and scores of thankful men helped load the food into their pantry.  At once, it seemed to double their pantry supplies and then some.  The men were all moved to pitch in and the two lead volunteers were especially touched as was Deacon Billy who re-emphasized how generous Resurrection has been to their needs."

- Mike Debartolo, Resurrection (Rye, NY) parish and school
