For more than 100 years, The Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York has been a valuable partner of foundations, corporations, and governmental entities in serving New Yorkers of all religions who are in need and in fostering the common good. A former mayor of New York City esteemed Catholic Charities' role as so essential that he said, "I do not know how I could run New York City without Catholic Charities."
Catholic Charities is proud to be one of the seven social agencies that is a partner and beneficiary of the annual New York Times Neediest Cases Campaign. Donors may make their NY Times Neediest Cases donations directly to the participating agencies such as Catholic Charities. These contributions make have a great impact on our ability to serve those in need since the NY Times Company Foundation covers the administrative costs of the campaign. Please read the poignant stories of New Yorkers in need who are helped by Catholic Charities through the funds raised by the NY Time Neediest Cases campaign.
Donors may designate The Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York as the recipient of the pledges and contributions they make in their workplace campaigns. These contributions are processed by United Way and then disbursed to Catholic Charities. Donors will receive credit for supporting their company's United Way campaign, and also be directly helping Catholic Charities with their contributions.
