Cardinal Dolan Feeds the Hungry on Ash Wednesday
Early on Ash Wednesday morning, February 22, 2012, Cardinal Dolan handed out food to the hungry on the St. Francis of Assisi Church food line in Midtown Manhattan. Having just returned from Rome and the ceremonies surrounding his elevation to Cardinal, Dolan remarked: "When I stand before the last judgement, the fact that I'm wearing red [of a Cardinal] won't amount to a hill of beans. The fact that we shared our bread with the hungry -- that's what's going to count."
