Operated by Catholic Charities and funded by New York State, the hotline is a state-wide information and referral hotline that gives general information and referrals to appropriate service agencies in response to immigration and citizenship-related questions.
Each day, Catholic Charities Migration Counselors answer questions in 19 different languages including English, Spanish, French, Haitian-Creole, Italian, Polish, Russian, Arabic, Turkish, Albanian, Macedonian, Urdu, Punjabi, Korean, and Chinese. In any given year, the hotline fields more than 43,000 calls assisting people from around the world to locate the services they needed.
