At the 75th Annual CYO Club of Champions Dinner on July 22, Catholic Charities honored Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman with the John V. Mara Sportsman of the Year Award. Frank J. Bisignano, chief administrative officer of JPMorgan Chase & Co., and His Excellency, Archbishop Timothy Dolan, were both honored with the Gold Medal Award. Mary Higgins Clark received the Terence Cardinal Cooke Humanitarian Award.

Nearly 500 attendees filled the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria at CYO’s largest annual fundraiser. Together they helped raise more than $600,000 to support the work of CYO throughout the Archdiocese of New York.

Greg Kelly, co-anchor of Good Day New York, emceed the event and Msgr. Kevin Sullivan, executive director of Catholic Charities New York, delivered the invocation. The event also featured remarks by His Excellency, Archbishop Timothy Dolan and Christopher F. Gallagher, president of the CYO board of directors.  Roger Staubach, last year's Gold Medal Award honoree, returned this year to present the award to Bisignano.

CYO offers a variety of spiritual and recreational growth opportunities for youth including hundreds of local sports programs and cultural activities, youth ministry, summer camps and recreation centers.
