November 22, 2011 -- At the Catholic Charities' annual Thanksgiving Meal Distribution, Archbishop Timothy Dolan and New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn joined Catholic Charities staff and volunteers in making Thanksgiving possible for more than 400 families.

Catholic Charities clients who would have otherwise gone without a Thanksgiving meal traveled from throughout the Archdiocese of New York to receive turkeys and all the trimmings at the Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy Center in Harlem.

During a press conference prior to the food distribution, Archbishop Dolan and Speaker Quinn called on all New Yorkers to help feed those who are hungry and to care for our neighbors in need during these difficult economic times, when so many are unemployed, and struggling to make ends meet. Last year, Catholic Charities provided more than 6 million meals to families and individuals in need.
