Description
Christ House is primarily a residence for adult men who are survivors of torture at the hands of the government of their former countries and have been granted political asylum in the United States and who are in need of shelter for intermediate terms while they establish themselves and recover from their experiences. Their medical and psychological needs are addressed by agencies such as the Bellevue Program for Survivors of Torture, while other agencies address their educational and job placement issues.
