Description
The Mission of the Immaculate Virgin (MIV) provides residential care for developmentally disabled children and young adults. MIV also operates a community day care center and has developed a partnership with CYO for the Fr. Drumgoole CYO Summer Day Camp and a $3.2 million gym renovation project, for the CYO Staten Island South Shore Community Center. MIV is the host for two public schools; a socialization program for recovering alcoholics called Traditions House; a senior citizens nutrition program called the Friendship Club; a counseling service for women with unplanned pregnancies called Cross-Road Foundation; MIV has cooperative agreements with each of these groups including, but not limited to, leases on buildings.
