Description
The St. Francis Residences offer permanent housing with supportive services to homeless men and women with long histories of chronic mental illness. The three Residences work in cooperation with Bellevue Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital - Department of Community Medicine, the New York City Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Alcoholism Services and the New York City Department of Homeless Services. Along with 255 units of SRO housing we offer medical and psychiatric care, money and medication management, a breakfast and lunch program, and a wide variety of activities of daily living programs. It is our purpose to offer safe, decent and affordable housing, which will both keep our tenants out of the hospital and off the streets.
